Women of Alabaster came into existence when Scarlet Hudson, founder and director of Women of Alabaster, volunteered to go out with her church to serve prostitutes. That evening, Scarlet found herself hiding behind a hotel with a pistol whipped prostitute. She did not know that this encounter would change the course of many lives, her own and those in need of help. God soon revealed to Scarlet that she was to leave her prestigious career and care for the vulnerable and victimized on the streets.
Women of Alabaster, Inc. was launched in 2014. We are a 501-C3 faith-based organization that exists to care for victims of sexual trafficking and substance abuse by providing alternatives to street life. We are a presence in forgotten communities and a voice for those that society so easily discards.
