Day Centers provide victims of sex trafficking a respite from the streets. While at the center guests (victims) will experience love, acceptance and encouragement. Those who seek day center care are invited to dine at our table where a hot lunch will be served by kind hands. If a guest is tired, they may sleep. If they need to shower, they may shower. If they need clothing or personal hygiene items, we will supply them with it. Medical professionals are present on scheduled days to aid them with trauma counseling and medical needs.
During day center visits, guests will meet with a WOA Day Center staff member/advocate for "intake" so that WOA advocate can assess their needs. During this intake, WOA staff/advocate will encourage guests to take a step towards healing physically, emotionally and spiritually. When a guest communicates that they are ready to take a step towards healing and restoration, the WOA advocate moves immediately to organize and transport them to their next step.
