Scarlet was a corporate trainer for a fortune 500 company for 30 years and was instrumental in the development of programs for Regis Corporation, JC Penney, Ulta Corporation and Great Clips. She was a strategic planner for the profitability for each entity listed. Traveling to and from New York it appeared her future was set, but God had other plans for her.
Scarlet was asked to go out with her church to help them with the "Prostitution Ministry" she gladly said "yes". That evening Scarlet found herself hiding behind a hotel attempting to protect a woman who had just been pistol whipped by her pimp. Scarlet felt limited in helping that woman. Driving home Scarlet was wrecked by what she experienced. In 2012 Scarlet founded Women of Alabaster. In 2015 she left her corporate position to work in full-time ministry in Over the Rhine in Cincinnati, OH.
As the Director of Women of Alabaster, Scarlet directs the ministry and business of Women of Alabaster. Her skills and duties include: Integrating trauma informed care to the organization, budget planning and stewardship, vision casting, directing strategic programming, managing donor and relational partnerships. Scarlet also works directly with volunteers, equipping them to serve in the Day Center and on the Street Ministry teams. Currently, she leads the Street Ministry teams.
On the streets Scarlet is lovingly known as "Mama Scar". As the ministry "Mama" she works hard to care for WOA clients. You will also find Scarlet speaking publicly to bring awareness to the plight of those trapped in sex trafficking and addiction.
